I am also a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (Certification # NCC-1096860) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). My Education and training qualifications include a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University
I am also a registered clinical supervisor in the State of Idaho. I provide guidance to master’s-level students completing their internships in preparation for licensure as counselors, and counselors seeking advanced licensure. MY role as a clinical supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing the client experience by facilitating increased access to therapists who possess advanced knowledge and demonstrate exceptional professionalism.
I bring over 20 years of experience from diverse settings, supporting clients across all ages and addressing a wide spectrum of life experiences. I practice from a holistic, trauma-informed perspective, blending elements of multiple counseling theories, addressing the whole-person—mind, body, and emotions. I believe my role is to provide a personalized, direct, authentic, and highly collaborative therapy experience that honors your unique identity, background, and life story. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #: LPC-7081405) in the State of Idaho. Furthermore, I am a also a Nationally Certified Counselor (Certification # NCC-1743648 through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). I am currently under clinical supervision by Jessica (Jessy) Diaz (License# LCPC-8096).
My Education and training qualifications include a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. My training in mental health and clinical practice utilizes a client-centered framework, incorporating Evidence-Based Practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed techniques to address the unique clinical needs of individuals and families.
I have several years of experience working in mental health with adults and adolescents and have taken on a Client-Centered approach. I use trauma informed techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Humanistic Therapy frameworks. I believe there is not a one size fits all version of therapy and tailor my approach to the needs of each individual person. My goal with every client is to curate a safe and open space for each individual to explore and process their inner world and life experiences to become the version of themselves they want to be.
